3M Acquires Hybrivet Systems to Expand Testing For Lead, Toxins in Properties

MMM hopes to penetrate the growing market for testing paints for lead in older houses and commercial buildings to meet new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.

The acquisition is also expected to complement MMM's paint preparation, tape and safety businesses, and will help expand the company's paint products portfolio, the company said.

Shares are up 0.32% to $92.63.
