Sanofi Heart Drug Linked to Liver Damage; Shares Slip 1% as FDA Issues Warning

Multaq was approved in July 2009 by the FDA, and half a million prescriptions have been written for the drug ever since.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has recently released a warning to doctors and patients that Sanofi-Aventis' (SAN) heart drug has been linked to liver damage in several patients.
