MDP will replace Cincinnati Bell (CBB) in the S&P MidCap 400 index, and CBB will replace Penford (PENX) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index.

Cincinnati Bell is trading at $2.35, down 3 cents or 1.26%.

MMI is being spun off from Motorola, but the deal isn't expected to take place until January and the stock is not trading yet.

Penford is trading at $6.25, down 77 cents, or 10.97%.

New Home Sales Jump 5.5% in November to 290,000

The rate is above October's downwardly revised rate of 275,000.

The rate of sales last month was 21.2% under the sales rate in November 2009.

For new houses sold in November, the median sales price rose 8% from October to $213,000.

However, when compared to the prior year, median sales prices last month declined 2.6%.

The Commerce Department reported Wednesday that single-family home sales rose 5.5% during November to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 290,000.

The investigational compound sought to combine the active ingredients from AZN's Crestor and ABT's Trilipix to treat abnormal levels of two or more lipids in the blood.

The firms said there will no financial impact to their 2010 or 2011 earnings. They did, however, at one time expect $500 million in U.S. sales each year had Certriad gained the necessary approvals.
