Liz Claiborne (NYSE:LIZ) rose 10% on Monday after Bloomberg News announced that the company is considering selling its money-losing brand, Mexx.

Sales were $704 million, down from rom $756.5 million, but ahead of the consensus Street estimate for $683.6 million.

The company said it lost $30.1 million, or 32 cents per share, compared with a loss of $41.7 million, or 45 cents per share, last year.
