Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) reported Q2 loss of $0.32 a share versus the analyst estimate loss of $0.62. Revenue for the quarter rose, 16.6% to $9.3 billion better than consensus estimate of $8.04 billion.
Equity futures are pointing higher this morning with the Dow Jones Industrial Average looking to open 72 points higher while the broader S&P500 index is looking to open over 8 points higher.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) reported Q1 EPS of $0.50 today, well above the consensus estimate for $0.34 per share. Revenue for the quarter was down 16.5% year-over-year to $7.6 billion, missing the consensus estimate for $7.9 billion

Morgan Stanley shares are up 0.62%, or $0.16, to $27.60.
Morgan Stanley (MS) shares are higher after Bloomberg reported that the investment bank is beginning to win more business from smaller private equity firms after forming a group to concentrate on the sector.
The bank now sees 2011 EPS of $1.39, up from $1.35 per share.
H&R Block has a potential upside of 8.7% based on a current price of $16.03 and an average consensus analyst price target of $17.43.
Morgan Stanley raised its 2011 EPS estimate for H&R Block (NYSE:HRB) and maintained its equal-weight rating on the stock.
The bank now sees 2011 EPS of $7.64, up from $7.38 per share, and 2012 EPS of $8.39, up from $8.15 per share.
Exxon Mobil has a potential upside of 2.8% based on a current price of $82.29 and an average consensus analyst price target of $84.57.
Morgan Stanley raised its 2011 and 2012 EPS estimates for Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE:XOM) and maintained its equal-weight rating.
