Check Point Software (NASDAQ:CHKP) reported Q4 EPS of $0.73, ahead of consensus estimates of $0.69 per share. Revenues for the quarter rose 17% year-over-year to $318.5 million, topping consensus estimates of $306.0 million.

Oil prices neared $90 a barrel at one point in the trading day, an increase of over 4%, before retreating in early afternoon trade.

Crude oil futures soared to a record high since September 2009 on Friday on concerns that anti-government protests in Egypt would spread to other oil-producing countries in the Middle East.

Chevron said that new coal technologies are too far off to justify staying in the market, the report said, citing a spokeswoman for the company.

Chevron shares are down 1.3%, or $1.24, to $93.51.

Chevron (CVX) shares are down as the oil major says it will get out of the coal industry, reports the Associated Press.

It sees Q1 sales between $38 million to $41 million and EPS between $0.42 to $0.46, which the WSJ said was mostly above expectations.

Shares hit a 52-week high of $51 earlier, and were last at $50.62.

Computer Programs and Systems (CPSI) is up after it said late Thursday Q4 sales were $43.1 million, and EPS were $0.61. The Wall Street Journal says that beat estimates.

The warning came three years before losses from mortgages led to the a near collapse of the bank and the subsequent $45 billion bailout.

Citi shares are down 1.6%, or $0.08, to $4.75.

Citigroup (C) shares are down as Bloomberg reports that the firm's bond-trading desk was warned in 2005 by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency that it was taking too much risk.

The bank sees 2011 EPS of $6.92, vs. consensus estimates of $6.67 per share, and 2012 EPS of $8.89, vs. consensus estimates of $8.13 per share."

"Citigroup raised its price target for Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE:LMT) to $100 from $88 and maintained its buy rating on the stock.

The bank sees 2011 EPS of $2.99 and 2012 EPS of $4.75.

Morgan Stanley lowered its price target for Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) to $205 from $225 per share and maintained its overweight rating on the stock.
