Roper Industries (NYSE:ROP) adding to its portfolio this morning. The company announced it will be acquiring privately held Sunquest Information Systems for $1.4 billion in cash. Sunquest is a provider of diagnostic and laboratory software services which Roper hopes will add value to its wide array of medical and scientific imaging products.
Roper said it expects the deal to immediately add to earnings and generate about $140 million of earnings before income tax, depreciation and amortization in 2013. The company also raised its full-year earnings forecast to a range of $4.84 to $5.00.
