Technology stocks are higher ahead of the bell with Apple Inc. (AAPL) being named in a lawsuit filed in federal court in California accusing it of enabling advertisers to track how users interact with applications. Also named in the suit, which is seeking class-action status, are Pandora, The Weather Channel, Dictionary.com and Backflip. Altair Nanotechnologies (ALTI) said shareholders have approved a deal giving Canon Inc. (CAJ) a 51% stake in the company while also approving a one-time option exchange program for employees. The transaction still requires approval by U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment.
