Cisco Systems Inc may regret passing on the security project known as APOLLO. The company known as Palo Alto Networks, is one of the leaders today in the multibillion-dollar market for corporate Internet firewalls. Paulo Alto Networks debuts next week in an initial public offering that could be valued for over 2-billion-dollars.
Cisco and similar companies may have misjudged how the internet would expand with the growth of social media and the need for sophisticated tools to safeguard private data.
The Firewall security company said it plans to offer 4.7 million shares, setting the range at $34 to $37 each. The company will list under the symbol PANW on the New York Stock Exchange.
