From Fnno.com, you're watching The Financial News Network. I'm Laura Hankin. Looks like a happy ending is in store for Walgreens Co. and Express Scripts Holding Co. The two companies will reunite thanks to a new multi-year pharmacy network agreement, and once again Express Scripts customers will be able to fill their prescriptions at their local Walgreens.

The two companies parted ways back in January when they failed to come to terms on a new contract. Express Scripts accounted for over 10 percent of the prescriptions filled at Walgreens in 2011, so the split affected the drugstore in a big way. Walgreens stock lost 30 percent of its value since the difficulty with Express Scripts began.

Happily for Walgreens, shares are trading up on the news, currently up 10.34%, at $34.17. For more coverage and analysis of the business world, follow us on Twitter @FNNOnline or check out our website at fnno.com
