Equity futures are pointing higher this morning with the Dow Jones Industrial Average looking to open 34 points higher while the broader S&P500 index is looking to open over 3 points higher. Moving fast in the pre-market session are shares of PetroHawk Energy (NYSE:HK) up over 63% after BHP Billiton (NYSE:BHP) offered to buy the company for $38.75 per share; Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) up over 13% amid brokerage upgrades after the company reported Q2 results; Clorox (NYSE:CLX) up over 11% after Carl Icahn offered to acquire the company for $76.50 a share; Chesapeake Energy (NYSE:CHK) up over 4%; EOG Resources (NYSE:EOG) up 4%; Citigroup (NYSE:C) up 3%; and Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) up 3% on news that the company is poised for increased traffic. Shares of Qlik Technologies (NASDAQ:QLIK) are down 5%; Seattle Genetics (NASDAQ:SGEN) shares down over 5% after Canaccord reiterated its sell rating; and shares of Delcath Systems (NASDAQ:DCTH) down over 11% on news that the company will sell 5 million shares of common stock.
